If you didn’t already know, the answer to this question is pretty obvious.
I know I’m going to piss some people off with this blog, but I’m hoping I can get through to others who are wasting this plethora of extra time we’ve all been given.
To quote the great Jackie Chiles (Kramer’s lawyer on Seinfeld), I am “shocked and chagrinned” to see how much time salespeople are wasting on doing Facebook quizzes. Every day. For real.
I’m not judging people and they can certainly do what they want with their own time.
What I can’t seem to get past is the level of ignorance and blatant disregard for reality that salespeople continue to display when talking about their current situation.
I cannot tell you the amount of times I have heard, read, and seen people complaining about their position right now and how bad it sucks for them.
Those same people who are stressed out, anxious, and concerned about their financial difficulties are the same exact people who are glued to Facebook for three hours a day.
It’s more important for them to add up a frigging cat, a broom, and a wheel to see what the answer is than it is to improve their current situation! Are you kidding me!?!! This is what you’re doing with your time?
What should I do today? Hmmm. Let’s find out my spirit animal.
I really think I should spend my time counting the number of triangles in this quiz before I start working on improving my sales skills or looking for a way to generate income.
I especially like the “word find” quizzes. “The first three words you see will come into your life!” Yup. Great use of my time for sure. I should make a quiz with the following words…
Unfocused. Unmotivated. Procrastination. Apathy. Time waster. Complainer. Missed opportunities. Lazy. Distracted. Blame. Karma. These are what people should be seeing and maybe it would help them snap back into reality.
I’m sorry to be blunt, but if salespeople don’t get their heads out their you know what, they’re going to be social distancing themselves from future success.
You can’t honestly be upset about the results you’re not getting with the work you’re not putting in.
You can’t be upset about the sales you’re not making with the skills you’re not developing.
You can’t be upset about the sales position you lost because of the value you didn’t provide.
This is real life guys. These are facts. The sooner salespeople realize their lives, futures, and success is in their own hands, is the second they’ll be headed in the right direction.
Now is the time to be working on your craft!! Now is the time to master the skills and mindset it takes to come out of this thing ten times better when it’s over.
Now is the time to improve, take action, invest in yourself, and become great!
I have a suggestion for you.
How about taking a test that will actually HELP YOU MAKE MORE SALES?!
How about taking a test that will tell you everything you can’t see that’s been HOLDING YOU BACK?
How about taking a test that will show you specific areas you need to work on to GENERATE MORE INCOME?
It’s called the Sales DNA Test.
At one point in my sales career, I was the #1 Cutco Rep in the entire country.
I was also the #1 new account opener in Aflac in the entire country.
I’ve done pretty well at sales and had some success. And when I took the Sales DNA Test, I wanted to jump off a building!
Why? Because I realized I’m just not that good! It told me so many things I didn’t know. It helped me realize my blind spots and even uncovered self-limiting beliefs that were holding me back.
I would have paid $100,000 for this thing twenty years ago when I first started.
Either way, if you’re tired of wasting time with tests that will show you your ideal celebrity mate, and you want to take a test that will help you generate more sales, more income, and more success, I’m happy to help.
