Don’t pretend like you don’t know.
It’s not “hyperbole.” It’s not a “mistake.” These are not misgivings.
We have straight-up lied to ourselves, way too many times to count.
How many times have we said the following?
I’m going to start working out; starting on Monday.
I’m going to change my diet and eat healthier.
I’m going to spend more time with my significant other.
I’m going to take my kids to more of their games and activities.
I’m going to leave work at work.
How many times have you said you were going to do something, and you still haven’t done them?
Once you start allowing yourself to make excuses for why you can’t do something, the endless train of excuses never stops.
If you don’t even take your own word seriously, why should anyone else listen to what you have to say?
Changing your life starts with one small decision.
One small step in the right direction.
One intentional action.
And then, it’s about repeating those small, tiny, little good decisions, one after another, to accelerate real change in your life.
Stop lying to yourself and start taking your own word as gospel.
Watch what happens…
